I’m getting the same error as Wes. Also, my header image keeps repeating like a tiled desktop background…. I sized it to your specifications so I don’t understand why I’ve having the problem. :S Those are my only problems so far. Note: I have the maintenance mode plugin activated currently so I can work on the theme behind the scenes, if you need to see what I’m seeing I can take screenshots an e-mail or of course deactivate the plugin.

Also further to my above comment, when I deleted it completely from the themes folder I no longer got the message… My second question is far less important than how to fix my error, but is it possible to remove the thumbnails feautre? I don’t have a lot of room on my site sadly (I’m being hosted for free by a friend) so can’t upload many images.

Right now i’m trying Plaion Box on a demo-server, hopipng to go live soon.
But I’m experiencing minor problems with the styling and functionality:

1. How do i get those rounded corners on the custom field thumbnails? Whenever I upload an image, it will be displayed without rounded corners. I’m using WP 2.5 now, but tried in on 2.3.3 before, getting the same result.
2. How do I activate the Archives List lightbox? I’m not getting that nice Archive-Overlay on my site. Do I need an additional plugin for it?
3. Is it possible, that there are no options at all for the noteworthy-plugin? Right now, although I have activated the plugin, I’m not seeing any change on my testblog.

I installed your theme on my blog but there is a problem i can’t repair: using Safari, the images corners are black.

Why if I use the or on a post, the text doesn’t change?

seems as if my link-problem is browser-specific.
With Firefox, I am able to navigate to the comments of a single post for exactly 1 time, without emptying the cache. After submitting a comment, I cannot submit any more comments, because the Submit-button shows no reaction. When browsing to the homepage after that and clicking on the comments-link underneath the custom field thumbnail, it doesn’t react any longer. Same for the recent comments plugin, which shows no reaction at all.

With Opera, I don’t see any problems. But its not my standard browser.

IE7 doesn’t get it right either, but allows navigation to and submitting comments. But links to comments from the recent comments-plugin

Great design, I actually stumbled upon it and realized the aesthetic matched my logo perfectly, as well as my own personal design style. I haven’t figured out all the bells and whistles yet, but it may be that I have the first version?..It says version 4 by various artists, not sure what that means.

the theme looks awesome, really creative, great job – however the code is horrible and breaks almost every browser. If you were to team up with me I am sure we could sort this out in June when I have a university break!

Here’s something new. I think the theme broke my WP dashboard. LOL!

Anyway, after I uploaded and activated I noticed the theme images weren’t loading. *shrug*

Testing it on IE6, it’s barely recognizable. Sad that a great-looking theme is a clunker when you open the hood

I probably will use your theme in my future journal and I found some css standard errors that I would like to share with you!

- “#sub_page #side1 .widget” there are missing ; at “position”
- “#sub_page #side1 h4″ there are a : where should be ; at “font-family”

/css/post.css
- “.thumb_tit a” the missing px at “width”

/js/facebox/facebox.css
- there are one useless comma at the end of “#facebox th,#facebox td”

I replaced the APP and JS folders in PlainBox with specified files from the K2 RC6 files but now all I get is a blank screen. Did I miss a step?

When I logout of the admin area I get a blank screen. Well it has to do with Sidebar Manager. So under “K2 Option” uncheck Sidebar Manager and then save. wp2.51

Hey dude, you probably figured this out days ago but I finally tracked the issue down. It’s not the nav bar at the bottom (snav.php), it’s this code in theloop_home.php

, ‘commentslink’, ”.__(‘Closed’,'k2_domain’).”

I removed that (making sure the function is still intact) and it seems to work.

Just to put things in perspective: I know sweet-buggerall about php. That was a LOT of trial and error (more error than trial as the night wore on and more red wine was consumed!)

COMMENTS: Hi, I’ve checked all the sites people have linked to from these comments and have been trying to fix my own for days. But in no case have I seen the comments working. Only on the authors demo site do they work.

Does anyone know how to make the comments link next to the post (on the home page) work? (it works while the page is loading but when the page is finished loading it no longer works).

Hmm, so far as I can see about the dashboard error, the thing you CAN do is to redirect the Sideadmin link from /wp-admin/ to instead /wp-admin/plugins.php. You get to the dashboard’s plugin page instead, though everything still works, except the “control panel / dashboard’s index.php” page, which well, I don’t actually use it that much.

So you can keep Plain Box 2.0 for now, just redirect to another Dashboard / Control Panel page than the index, like plugins.php and write articles etc. like you usually do.

By the way, is there a solution for using LightBox and the lightbox effect on the Archives on the same page? When you’re first used to the smooth effect of LightBox on your images and image links, it’s hard to revert back to the standard look just because of the smooth archives. ^^

Hi, all I did was steal a bit of the code from the post title (just above the comments link) and repeat it. Changing the text so that it reads “comment on this post”.

You can find this code in the page theloop_home.php – I’ll try and write it out here but it won’t be in full code as I think these msg blocks can’t display code properly.

About halfway down the code in theloop_home.php you will find two divs, one starts “div class=tit” and the following starts “div class=meta” – grab the link (the “a href” thing) from “div class=tit” and stick it into “div class=meta” – just above the line that starts “php Comments comments_popup_link…”

That will give you a link. To change the wording just edit the part of the link called “php the_title” to be whatever you want. (Like, “post comment here”) – you can also fiddle arounf and change the mouseover text if you feel like it.

I’ll email you this stuff too – maybe it’ll be clearer.

This is an amazing theme but there is one thing I don’t like.

How can I delete the categories and the archive you have added to the theme? I’d like to hjave theme as widgets.
Another thing is that there are to many posts shown on the main site. I’d like to have the newest Post in Fullmode and then two older Posts.

i have the “Get Custom Field Values” plugin installed, but how can i get it to display a thumbnail of a picture on the post title as in a Post Icon (like on your plainbox demo page). can someone give me a step-by-step guide on what custom fields to add or what to do? thnx

The theme is great… but m having few problems…

1. I see some black rounded corners near the header while using Google Crome
2. How to I make my SideBlog look like the one which is there in the DEMO Site… See mine is not proper.
3. I want to remove the log in button from the page menu.
4. Rest all is pretty much fine…

Also, a suggestion.. if possible which designing an upgrade try to add some ad space… (optional)
